Today in class we learnt about pastels.
There are two different types of pastels:
1. Oil pastels
2. Chalk pastels
Oil pastels can be mixed with artist turpentine. A knead eraser can be used to blend and remove chalk pastel. Pastel can be used on pastel paper or water colour paper (cold pressed).
The pastel drawing must be fixed , that is, sprayed to prevent it from smudging.
