Today we learnt about the different types of tonal techniques. The two that we learnt today were blending and wrapping:
Blending is a tonal technique of shading or painting so that there is a gentle and gradual transition from one shade of dark or light to another shade which is darker or lighter than the first shade. To blend, use either a 2B, 4B or 6B pencil, to shade where one shade meets another.
Wrapping is another tonal technique where the person makes circles on the drawing repeatedly. This can be done with different colours, to make one final colour.
Hello there, I always wanted to know how to merge two photos, or two items in a drawing. How exactly do you blend?
